Arthritis can develop as cats age, just as in people, and can start to cause them discomfort. What do those signs look like, and how can you help? Cats can be very stoic, but here are some symptoms they may show if they are in pain.
Symptoms of arthritis can include:
- Decreased appetite
- Decreased grooming
- Reduced movement
- Squinting
- Withdrawn attitude
- Diminished exercise
- Sensitivity to touch
We do have good news that if your cat is displaying any of these symptoms, we can help! There are several ways to manage pain in our feline friends. Some of those include medications, physical therapy, and environmental changes like adding soft bedding and ramps!
